Coral-dwelling barnacle with long cirri with dark and white banding and white speckling. The protective shell wall or plates or covered by coral tissue, making a further identification impossible

Special features

Identification on genus and species level requires examination of the shall wall and arrangement of plates. This can not be done visually since the plates are covered by coral growth. The family Pyrgomatidae consists of 10 genera.
