Dark blue to grey sea ascidian (sea squirt) with yellow to white rings around both siphons, they usually grow in high density colonies, the body is soft and mostly somewhat translucent.

Each zooid can reach up to 5cm in length, the total width of the colony can reach up to 10cm.
It is a filter feeder.
Little information is available on ascidians in general, making it more difficult to identify the many different species and families. Even though its body looks simple, it is actually more evolved than you’d expect.
