Chromodoris magnifica (Magnificent chromodoris)

Identification

Black and white lines on the dorsum surrounded by a wide orange band with a white edge, rhinophores and gill branches are dark orange to red. It looks similar to Chromodoris quadricolor, but they are geographically separated.

Habitat

West-Pacific to Papua New Guinea and to Japan. It lives in a depth range of 1-25 meters.

Size

Up to 9cm.

Prey / Predation

It feeds on sponges.
