Chromodoris annae (Anna’s chromodoris)

Identification

Blue (uncommonly pale grey) mantle with black speckling, bordered in black, wide orange or white marginal band, lack of a complete central stripe, orange rhinophores and gill branches.

Status

Unevaluated by the IUCN Red list but fairly common in the tropical Pacific.

Habitat

Indo-West Pacific: Malaysia to Marshall Islands and Japan. They live in a depth range of 15-30 meters.

Reproduction

Reproduce by laying eggs in a mucus ribbon-like veil

Size

Up to 4cm.

Prey / Predation

They feed on sponges.
